Well written..I think we all see these scenarios or similar ones at work. Hopefully having more women in top level management positions will help change the environment!
Fabulously written. I have myself been asked the family plans questions while interviewing for jobs about 10 years back. I think it does indeed fall on us to make a difference in our own way. At a recent talk on an unrelated topic, but linked in a sense of being inclusive, I loved the small action suggested, have a dialogue about this issue with 2-3 people who wouldn't know this side of the story and who you would normally avoid speaking about this to. I intend to do exactly that. Till next Friday!
Beautifully written and absolutely banging the nail on its head. Its lovely to see contemporary Indian writers taking up real issues that pertain to our everyday lives with such gripping storytelling. Can't wait for next Friday!
Very well written.. I was recently introduced to this blog and absolutely love it 'Raja Beta' my favourite. My only comment, when you say 'Pregnant and Working in India' it portrays the wrong notion that things are better elsewhere in the world which is hardly the case. I think being pregnant and working is difficult anywhere. It amazes me just how easily the society can accept men slacking at work but pregnant women have to constantly prove their abilities.
Thank you for reading and (I hope) subscribing. You're absolutely right about things being bad the world over and this is true for almost every post I've written on this newsletter.

This is such a REAL change you'll be making. Thank you for making my day. Your intention alone makes this post a success in my eyes!

This reality is super scary! Indeed hoping for an improvement in the way working mothers are perceived. And bang on with the tautology!
