Take care and hope you recover soon! "let us give ourselves permission to celebrate in a less than 100% deep-cleaned house" > EXACTLY what I was telling my mom today 😅

Just the other day I was telling my mother, how all festivals involve women having to do loads and loads of work, while men all just relax. Other than maybe doing a puja and may be putting up toran they dont have to do anything. Back when there were joint families may be this was okay..but in nuclear families the amount of work women have to do is insane.

Also, who decided that this is how festivals are to be celebrated?

If i am not one of the upteenth person to say so, GET WELL SOON. Boo hoo to Air India, but in all fairness, if it wasn't india's air that got to you first, it was Air India. :P

I do not recommend "ONLY WOMEN" clean up for diwali, i feel its a sacred duty of all who call their houses homes, to clean up and gear up for the dainty new year, whenever that falls. cheers to you, may you un-quarantine in time to spread some love and eat lots of great healthy foods for diwali.

Get well soon. And thank you for saying this out loud. I am doing everything store bought with zero guilt, hiring cleaners to clean my house. All I want to do is have a great time with friends and family, so I don't want to be too tired from cooking and cleaning to have fun.

Haha! Love your sense of humour. And totally agree about the store bought sweets and unburdening of women for the deep cleaning and lights. Get well soon

We all know Covid is just a western conspiracy and that there is nothing called corona virus. All this is just a way to not do diwali work. Now if you will excuse me, It’s time for my electroshock therapy which I am taking because ‘some people’ think I am sick.

Take care and be well jaldi jaldi. The mask mandates are now off completely where I live but I am still wearing a mask because I have had two versions of it. Supremely uncomfortable. Khoob take care.
